In 2021, we want all the audiences we welcome to be able to benefit from the soft mobility equipment we wish to purchase.
By becoming a resource center for various soft mobility equipment, we wish to become a local reference for ESMS from Jura or from all over France, as well as all families staying at Ferme Léonie.
In 2020, we purchased a pushbike (see photo below). We are convinced that people with disabilities must have access to nature.
1. Promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities by breaking their isolation
2. Discover the natural and heritage sites of Haut Jura using gentle eco-mobility means of transport.
3. Allow accessibility to white and forest paths while taking into account the mobility of people with disabilities.
Because access to nature should not be restricted by disability.
4. Develop the service offering of Ferme Léonie by expanding our activity offering throughout the year.
5. Strengthen our partnerships with ESMS established in the Haut-Jura territory by making equipment available.
Since 1994, the Léonie farm has offered a wheelchair-ski activity (dualski).
We know Haut-Jura and want to introduce it to as many people as possible thanks to gentle mobility.
Since summer 2020, we have been offering electrically assisted mountain bikes and a push bike for rides from Ferme Léonie. We want to offer an inclusive activity by purchasing the equipment presented above.
We have joined the “Jurassic Vélo Tour” to offer simple routes departing from Saint Laurent en Grandvaux. We tested the “Jurassic Vélo Tour” itineraries and designed our own circuits for people with disabilities and their caregivers.
More information on request. We will be happy to send you a presentation file of our 2021 project: “Soft mobility for all!”
Why this project?
The demands of APF-France Handicap
Social isolation is one of the greatest evils of our time. It affects millions of people. Access to leisure, culture, sport and holidays are expensive and the places are not suitable for everyone. This limits, in many situations, their practice.
Yet,
social life and leisure are not a luxury but an integral part of well-being and personal development
.
In May 2019, La Ferme Léonie was certified
“Bike Home”.
Since April 2020, Ferme Léonie has been a member of the charter “Values of the Regional Natural Park”.
In June 2020, Ferme Léonie became a member of the network “Jurassic Bike Tour” - rental of electrically assisted mountain bikes.
APF France handicap demands equal access to social life, that is to say, to leisure, culture, vacations, sporting activities, volunteering:
