The lakes and peat bogs of Haut-Jura RAMSAR-labelled sites
Peat bogs and high-altitude lakes mark the imagination of the Jura mountains. Refuges of rare and remarkable biodiversity, These wetlands also play a vital role in preserving water resources and adapting to climate change.
February 2, 2021, on the occasion of World Wetlands Day, this emblematic heritage of the Jura mountains has joined the network of 50 Ramsar-labelled sites in France.
This international distinction comes
highlight the exceptional character of our high-altitude peatlands and lakes
and underline the commitment of the 52 municipalities that make up the Ramsar site to promote and preserve them.
The Léonie farm is ideally located in the Haut Jura Natural Park.
A few kilometers from hiking routes, alpine or Nordic ski slopes, lakes, rivers and waterfalls, you will always find an outdoor activity from Saint Laurent en Grandvaux.
